Q: Why do you sell sleep systems with separate mattresses and overlays?

A: We want to give you the longest lasting, most therapeutic and hands-down most comfortable sleep system available. At MyComfort, your comfort is all that matters to us. By selling completely customizable sleep systems, you are guaranteed to find the perfect bed for your needs. The Comfort Overlay is the part of your bed that your body will feel; the mattress is the part of your bed that will hold you up in the correct position. Additionally, our mattresses and overlays are made of such high quality materials that if combined into a single mattress, it would be too heavy to handle. We refuse to cheapen our materials just to reduce weight. As separate components, each component is handlable, and we have engineered the overlays so that they stay put on the mattress, with no shifting at all, without straps or buckles.

Q: How much does it cost to ship a bed?
A: Absolutely nothing! We will pay for the shipping on your MyComfort Sleep System to anywhere in the lower 48 United States absolutely free. If you'd rather take advantage of a special promotion we are having, we will give you our exact shipping cost instead of free shipping (usually a couple hundred dollars, but may be more depending on location).

Q: Is the return policy on your website any different than the return policy offered in your stores?
A: There is no difference. Both are covered by our No-Hassle Return Policy. Since this return policy requires the customer to pay for transport, however, the customer coming to a store can save that by returning the product personally.

Q: I would like a promotion that I heard about through your advertising, but I can’t find it on the website. Can I still get the special?
A: Yes, call any of our retail stores (see phone numbers on our store locations pages) and they can write-up the order and get you the promotion.

Q: Will medical insurance cover the cost of what I buy at MyComfort?
A: Vary rarely, and MyComfort is not a medical supply store and so cannot become involved in the process. Many people have had success buying the product and being reimbursed, but MyComfort does not guarantee any reimbursements by your insurance company.

Q: How long will Ortho-Gel® hold up?
A: Ortho-Gel® is quite possibly the longest lasting comfort surface available on the market. We have the best warrantee available and we stand by our product 100%. The first bed made in 1997 is still in service today, being used by a female with arthritis and fibromyalgia. We keep checking it and it is as good as new. But there is much , much more data. Ortho-Gel® has been in service in thousands of hospital beds since 1998 and is doing great. Tens of thousands of Ortho-Gel® Sleep Systems and overlays have been sold in the USA, Japan, Norway, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, and other countries, and it holds up great. The same cannot be said for the thick pillowtop mattresses that you pay so much for in conventional mattress stores.

Q: How long will your other sleep system components hold up?
A: All of our products come with a 20 year warranty if purchased as part of a sleep system. But this is an interesting question, because our data so far indicates that having Ortho-Gel® on top of conventional materials such as foam or springs will help those materials hold up much longer than without Ortho-Gel®, and that is why we are able to offer our 20-year warranty (see details on the warranty page).

Q: Is there a number I can call to have my questions answered before purchasing?
A: Yes, please call any of our stores during their regular hours and our trained sales staff will be happy to help you. Our stores are open Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 8 PM.

Q: Can I put one of your Comfort Overlays on top of my existing mattress?
A: Possibly. If you have a firm, fairly new bed, with no body impressions, one of our Comfort Overlays will make a great addition. We recommend purchasing an entire Sleep System to get the guaranteed feel and therapy that MyComfort products have to offer. Please don’t use our Comfort Overlays to try to ‘repair’ a saggy mattress, and we don’t recommend them on top of puffy pillow-tops, which have little inherent support and will soon have body impressions.

Q: How long has Intelli-Gel® been available?
A: Ortho-Gel® was invented in 1995, and the first beds were made in 1997. It has been in use in consumer and medical sleep systems since 1998, and can be found in a host of other products including Dr. Scholl’s therapeutic shoe insoles, JanSport backpacks, and many more products. Ortho-Gel® is quickly becoming the world’s most sought after cushioning technology.

Q: Is Ortho-Gel® or Gelastic patented?
A: Yes, the U.S. patent and trademark office awarded Ortho-Gel® a number of patents (for example 5,749,111, 5,994,450, and 6,026,527) with over one hundred patent claims. There is nothing like Ortho-Gel®.

Q: How does MyComfort’s memory foam bed compare to Tempur-Pedic?
A: Nearly all Tempur-Pedic models contain 5.3 lb. density visco-foam. Tempur-Pedic rightfully boasts of the quality of such a dense foam. We are pleased to be able to say that MyComfort’s beds are also made from 5.3 lb. density visco-foam and are equal in warranty and feel to the Tempur-Pedic. If you like the Tempur-Pedic products, we invite you to compare our memory foam bed (the ADVANCED Memory Conforming Mattress) to their $3,000 to $4,000 models, and at half the price or less!  Some people find issues with memory/visco foam beds, such as heat-up of your body during sleep, difficulty in turning over because after it molds to your body it takes a while to come back to shape, and less back support than provided by Ortho-Gel®. For those customers, we recommend the ADVANCED Memory Conforming Mattress be used in conjunction with one of our amazing Ortho-Gel®® or FLOAM™ Comfort Overlays. The combination is fabulous!  For example, we recommend the ADVANCED Memory Conforming Mattress with an Ortho-Gel® SINGLE Comfort Overlay. Ooh la la!

Q: How long does it take to receive my order from MyComfort?

A: Shipping times vary depending on availability and demand. Many of our sleep systems are made to order, and sometimes demand gets high. Often your order ships within 4-7 business days of being placed. Orders placed through our stores/delivery service are usually delivered in 7-10 business days. When you place an internet order, we will enter your order into our production process and email you with the expected delivery date. If you find it is too long, please call any of our stores and cancel your order. But we assure you it will be worth the wait. Don’t compromise the next 20 years of your life sleeping on a mattress you could get quickly but that is not one of MyComfort’s amazing sleep system technologies!
